In case you have so many folders and files then it’s not a good idea to lock each and every folder. The best way, you would be to move all the personal data which you do not want to share with other, to into the drive on your PC and hide your drive so that no one will see your drive. With this trick, no one knows that there is any such type of drive exist on your PC and your data will save properly.

Method 1. Hide or unhide drive by using Disk management

By disk management, you will hide your drive easily because in disk management you can remove your drive letter and when your letter has removed no one sees your drive on your PC. Now, follow below steps and learn how to do that.

Hide Drive by using Disk Management

Step 1: Right-click on “My Computer” and click on “Manage”.

Step 2: Once you open the computer management, click on “Storage” then “Disk Management”.

Step 3: After doing the second step you will see all drive of your computer. Now, right-click on the drive which you want to hide.

Step 4: Now choose “Change Drive Letter and Paths” and click on “Remove”.

Unhide Drive by using Disk Management

Step 1.  open the computer management, click on “Storage” then “Disk Management”.

Step 2. When you will see all drive of your computer, right-click on the drive which you was hidden.

Step 3. Now choose “Change Drive Letter and Paths” and click on “Add”.

Step 4. Choose Drive letter and click on ok.

That’s it, guys now you can easily hide or unhide your drive. In case it asks for confirmation say “yes”. After this no-one can see the hidden drive on your computer. When you want to drive back, you can easily unhide your drive.

Method 2. Hide or Unhide Drive Using CMD (Command Prompt)

Step1. Go to “Run”, type CMD  and hit Enter.

Step2. Now type Diskpart and Enter.

Step3. After doing the second step type List Volume and Enter.

Step4. Once you did third step, you will see all drives and select one drive which you want to hide and check the drive volume number. For selection, you have to type Select Volume 2 and Enter.

Step5.  After selection type Remove Letter T and Enter. You need to put your volume letter.

After Removed letter, you will get the message that is “Diskpart Successfully removed the drive letter or mount point”. 

Unhide Drive Using CMD

Step1. Go to “Run”, type CMD  and hit Enter.

Step2. Now type Diskpart and Enter.

Step3. After doing the second step type List Volume and Enter.

Step4. Once you did third step, you will see all drives and select one drive which you want to hide and check the drive volume number. For selection, you have to type Select Volume 2 and Enter.

Step5. Type Assign Letter T and Enter.
