From the marketing analysis, it is evident that Apple, in the first half of 2018, received increasing requests from the government for user data purpose. Apple was seen revealing the way it reports information. This enables the users to get a more interactive and detailed site. Apple is now making it easier for its users to see what kind of data is being demanded where is it being used.

Apple, on December 20, released its biannual transparency report over the internet. It gives details of how government and private parties request customer data over and over again. For the time,1.3 billion devices are seen to act around the world. This is the reason why the government is looking towards Apple and its technology progressively, to gain information about users. Those requests have been increasing in huge numbers. The first half of 2018 also saw this rise in the customer data know-how, keeping it no different.

With 42 per cent of device requests coming from Germany, Apple, globally, got showered with nearly 35000 device requests. Heavy device requests from Germany were predominantly rising because of stolen devices and their continuing investigations. The US stands at the place, having applications around 5000. Between July to December 2017 period Apple received 29,718 device requests from governments set in different countries.

Apple is turning reporting process more straightforward to understand using its new Transparency site.

This newly developed interactive site lets users switch between countries and time intervals to see how the requests have changed. Like Microsoft, Apple is offering transparent reports.

Apple cooperated with law enforcement agencies to pull out data from locked iPhones. Apple has taken a strong stance in favour of protecting customer privacy, and it was evident when it came out victorious against its battle with FBI in 2016.
